Abstract
Overview
ISO/IEC 15938-5:2003/Amd 1:2004 is an amendment to Part 5 of the MPEG‑7 family (the Multimedia Content Description Interface). It defines XML schema extensions and semantic rules that expand multimedia description schemes (MDS) for audio, text, linguistic content, stream localization and subject classification. The amendment adds new attributes, datatypes and content-entity types to improve precise metadata encoding for multi‑channel audio, stream segments and richer classification vocabularies.
