ISO/IEC 17811-1:2014 specifies the for Device Control and Management (DCM). It defines how the Device Control and Management Protocol (DCMP) and the Reliable Message Delivery Protocol (RMDP) relate and operate together, describes common service environments (local networks with/without a Device Management Server - DMS, and public networks with DMS), and lists the functional requirements and high‑level design principles for network‑independent device management.
