Abstract
Overview
ISO/IEC 23000-11:2009/Amd 2:2011 is an international amendment to the multimedia application format standard MPEG-A, specifically Part 11 which addresses the stereoscopic video application format. This amendment enhances the signalling protocols for stereoscopic video by introducing additional composition types and profiles. Developed by the ISO/IEC Joint Technical Committee 1 (JTC 1), Subcommittee SC 29, which specializes in coding of audio, picture, multimedia, and hypermedia information, this update supports the evolving needs of 3D video technology for improved interoperability and compatibility with legacy playback systems.
