Abstract
Overview
ISO/IEC 8327-1:1996/Amd 1:1998 is an amendment to the OSI Connection-oriented Session protocol specification (ISO/IEC 8327-1 / ITU‑T Rec. X.225). Titled “Efficiency enhancements”, this amendment adds protocol options, new short-form SPDU types and negotiation mechanisms to reduce control-plane overhead during connection establishment, data transfer and release phases of the OSI Session Layer.
