Overview
ISO/IEC TR 30176:2021 is a Technical Report that collects and describes use cases for the integration of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT)/blockchain with the Internet of Things (IoT). Rather than prescribing mandatory requirements, this ISO/IEC document provides structured, real-world scenarios using the standardized IoT use‑case template to illustrate how DLT/blockchain can be applied across multiple IoT domains. Examples in the report include smart agriculture (agricultural product tracing), financial services for fish farming, chattel mortgage monitoring, distributed energy trading, and automated parking payment.
