ISO/TR 11462-5:2023 provides a standardized, language‑independent quality data exchange format for SPC software. Part of the ISO 11462 series on statistical process control (SPC), this technical report defines a transparent, editable, and compact file model to exchange parts, characteristics and measured values between measurement devices, SPC applications and enterprise systems. The format is designed to reduce custom integrations and speed up online data recording and analysis.

Mandatory fields: K0100 (total number of characteristics) plus at least one part field (K1xxx) and one characteristic field (K2xxx) - ISO/TR 11462‑5 recommends using K1001, K1002, K2001 and K2002.

Design goals: editable, flexible, space‑saving and language independent (explicit keys map to language‑independent fields that can be translated).
