ISO/TR 17671-6:2005 - "Welding - Recommendations for welding of metallic materials - Part 6: Laser beam welding" is an informative Technical Report from ISO that provides general guidance for of metallic materials in all forms (cast, wrought, extruded, forged) and for associated laser processes. It is intended as practical, non‑normative advice covering equipment, process characteristics, design, quality control and common detrimental phenomena. Annexes extend the guidance to beam properties, weldability of metals, causes of imperfections, beam control and auxiliary laser processes (cutting, drilling, cladding, surface treatment).
