Overview
ISO/TS 13399-403:2018 - Cutting tool data representation and exchange, Part 403 - defines how to create and exchange simplified 3D models of driven tool units. The technical specification standardizes the concept for modelling adaptive driven tool items, their coordinate systems, and relevant properties and value domains to support NC-programming, simulation and collision detection in manufacturing. It explicitly excludes the concept of 3D models for cutting tools, cutting items, tool items and other adaptive or auxiliary items not in its scope.
