Abstract
What is PD CEN/TR 15589 - Approval of NDT personnel about?
PD CEN/TR 15589 is a standard that covers the approval of NDT personnel, enabling the hiring of NDT personnel and ensuring the qualification and competence required in testing applications. PD CEN/TR 15589 provides a methodology for the approval of NDT personnel under the provisions of Directive 97/23/EC, Annex 1, section 3.1.3. The provisions of Guideline 6/13 are detailed in PD CEN/TR 15589 to ensure a consistent approach and a high level of confidence in the approval of NDT personnel by RTPO’s through widespread adoption of the criteria and approval processes detailed herein. In PD CEN/TR 15589 , a diagram illustrating this methodology is presented in Annex A.
