What is PD CEN/TR 17016‑101 - E-Ordering BII about?
The PD CEN/TR 17016 series supports CEN/TC 440 , electronic public procurement, which provides standards in the form of business interoperability interface specifications, as a tool to ensure interoperability and thus facilitate efficient and effective electronic information exchange in the (public) e-Procurement processes. It facilitate end-to-end e-Procurement including both pre-award and post-award processes. CEN/TC 440 provides a focused and coordinated approach to the development of appropriate European Standards that allows for user engagement and participation as well as effective production of the standards required by being focused on public procurement needs. PD CEN/TR 17016‑101 focuses on e-ordering business interoperability specifications. E-ordering is issuing of an electronic order by the contracting body and its acceptance by the supplier or conversely issuing of an electronic order agreement by the Supplier. PD CEN/TR 17016‑101 provides an overview of the set business interoperability interfaces specifications for e-Procurement covering the business areas of e-ordering and e-quotation.
