What is PD CEN/TR 17447 about?
PD CEN/TR 17447 describes the architecture of a Road Intelligent Transport System based on GNSS. PD CEN/TR 17447 is written in the frame of WP1.3 (Work package 1.3) of the GP-START project. It discusses several models to provide synthetic data for PVT (Position Velocity Time) tracks and the ways to analyse and compare the tracks to ensure these are similar to the reality. The objective of the WP1.3 model the PVT tracks similar enough to the reality to be used for application validation.
PD CEN/TR 17447 gives definitions of the various items to be considered when specifying an operational scenario and provides a method to compare two environments with respect to their effects on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) positioning performance.
Who is PD CEN/TR 17447 for?
PD CEN/TR 17447 on GNSS-based positioning for road Intelligent Transport System is useful for:
Intelligent transport system service providers
Implementers of road intelligent transport system
Space engineers
Research and development team
Global Navigation Satellite System
Aviation industries
Automotive industries
Transport agencies
Why should you use PD CEN/TR 17447 ?
The civil applications of geo-positioning are undergoing exponential development. A positioning-based road intelligent transport system based on GNSS consists of a positioning system and road intelligent transport system application, using positioning data to provide a service for the user such as navigation aid, tracking, events or presence detection.
PD CEN/TR 17447 provides you with the overall logic of the work model to be undertaken in WP 1.3. It includes reference data set, real error fi...
