What is PD CEN/TS 17100 - Penetrant testing for photographs and sizing about?

PD CEN/TS 17100 specifies minimum requirements in order to obtain and reproduce photographs used as reference records relative to penetrant testing (PT) colour contrast and fluorescent indications. It also provides requirements for the monitoring of resolution when measurements are to be indirectly performed by recording. Penetrant testing reveals defects by forming an indication pattern on the surface of tested items. These patterns have high optical contrast and width exceeding width of the defect opening. PD CEN/TS 17100 provides minimum requirements to record indication patterns through photographs and sizing of indications.
