Abstract
What is PD IEC TS 63107 about?
PD IEC TS 63107 is a standard that covers technical specifications for the integration of internal arc-fault mitigation systems in power switchgear and controlgear assemblies which enhances the ability to withstand arc faults. PD IEC TS 63107 discusses about the integration systems in power switch and controlgear assemblies which states requirements for integration and testing of IAMS in low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies – power switchgear and controlgear assemblies to demonstrate their correct operation. Note 1: PD IEC TS 63107 does not address personal safety or damage to the PSC-assembly. Note 2: PD IEC TS 63107 does not supersede any individual product standard. Individual devices are required to comply with their relevant standard. Note 3: PD IEC TS 63107 does not apply to integration of arc fault detection devices (AFDD). Note 4: PD IEC TS 63107 applies only to enclosed PSC assemblies and deals with all required verifications needed for the integration in conjunction.
