What is ISO 22370 about?

ISO 22370 is a standard that covers framework and principles for urban resilience which enables effective urban governance for risk reduction, sustainability and development through action-planning tools and real-time monitoring. ISO 22370 describes a framework and principles that are coherent with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including the New Urban Agenda, Paris Agreement and Sendai Framework, that can be applied to enhance urban resilience. ISO 22370 proposes using metrics and models as the framework upon which to structure urban resilience to assist local authorities and other urban stakeholders’ efforts to build more resilient human settlements.
