1 Scope This document provides the principles and rules for the naming of general terms in the field of nanotechnologies. This document gives guidance for the naming of a range of concepts, materials, objects, items and phenomena using a series of identified qualifiers, following the convention described within this document. NOTE Additional terms and definitions that relate to nanotechnologies are provided in ISO 80004‑1:2023 .
