Overview
SIST EN ISO 11161:2007/A1:2010 is an essential European standard focused on the safety of machinery within integrated manufacturing systems (IMS). This document serves as an amendment to the original ISO 11161:2007, updating and aligning the standard with the latest EU machinery safety directives, specifically the New Approach Directive 2006/42/EC. Prepared by ISO/TC 199 "Safety of machinery" and CEN/TC 114, the amendment ensures that integrated manufacturing systems meet stringent safety requirements to protect personnel and optimize industrial automation processes.
