Abstract
Overview
SIST EN ISO 11547:2018 is the European adoption of the international standard ISO 11547:1994, published by CEN (European Committee for Standardization). The standard focuses on devices for small craft, particularly outboard motors used on vessels up to 24 meters in length. Its main objective is to enhance safety by preventing engines from starting while the drive is engaged in gear, thereby reducing the risk of accidents or damage to the vessel and operator.
