Overview
SIST EN ISO 13577-4:2022 - Industrial furnaces and associated processing equipment - Safety - Part 4: Protective systems (ISO 13577-4:2022) specifies requirements for safety-related control systems used on industrial furnaces and thermoprocessing equipment (TPE). Intended to be used together with ISO 13577‑1, ISO 13577‑2 and ISO 13577‑3, the standard defines design, wiring, software and validation requirements for protective systems used to reduce hazards during operation of TPE. It excludes blast furnaces, converters (steel plants), boilers and fired heaters in petrochemical/chemical industries, upstream electrical/power cabling outside the TPE control panel, and protective systems manufactured before publication.
