EN ISO 1401:2016 - "Rubber hoses for agricultural spraying" is a CEN-endorsed adoption of ISO 1401:2016 that specifies design, material and test requirements for flexible rubber hoses used for pressure spraying of agricultural chemicals and fertilizers. The standard covers hoses intended to operate in a temperature range of –10 °C to +60 °C and defines three performance types (A, B, C) by maximum working pressure.

- Immersion testing (ISO 1817) in the actual service fluid: volume increase, tensile and elongation limits after 72 h immersion (maximum volume increase 55%; tensile strength reduction max 50%; elongation reduction max 40%).
- Accelerated ageing (ISO 188): samples aged 72 h at 100 °C; post-ageing property limits are specified in the standard.

- Hydrostatic testing, bending/flexibility (ISO 10619-1), adhesion (ISO 8033), ozone resistance (ISO 7326), dimensional change and other routine/type tests.
