Abstract
Overview
SIST EN ISO 19111:2020/A1:2021 is an important amendment to the international standard ISO 19111:2019, titled Geographic information - Referencing by coordinates. Managed by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and developed jointly with ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC 211, this amendment refines and updates the framework for defining coordinate reference systems (CRS) used in geographic information systems (GIS) and geomatics. The standard provides a consistent model for referencing spatial locations using coordinates and ensures interoperability across diverse geospatial applications.
