EN ISO 22653:2018 - Footwear: Test methods for lining and insocks - Static friction (ISO 22653:2003) specifies laboratory methods to assess the frictional properties of footwear linings and insocks, regardless of material. Adopted by CEN in 2018, this standard reproduces ISO 22653:2003 and supersedes EN 12826:2000. It defines two complementary test approaches to quantify static friction, kinetic friction, and related angles of surface drag for lining and insole materials.
