Abstract
Overview
SIST EN is a European standard developed by CEN in alignment with that specifies the equipment, methods, and procedures for the accurate determination of the thickness of thermal insulating products used in floating-floor applications. These products primarily serve to provide impact sound insulation in building constructions. The standard replaces the previous EN 12431:2013 and introduces precise testing conditions, apparatus requirements, and specimen preparation guidelines to ensure consistent, reliable measurement of insulation product thickness.
