This International Standard specifies a method for the determination of the epoxy equivalent and is applicable to all epoxy compounds. In the case of epoxyamines, it is necessary to apply the modification specified in annex A.

EN - Plastics: Epoxy compounds - Determination of epoxy equivalent specifies a standardized titrimetric method for determining the of epoxy compounds. The method is applicable to all epoxy compounds; a describes how to correct the result for nitrogen-containing epoxyamines. The standard defines the epoxy equivalent (grams of resin containing one mole of epoxy groups) and the related (moles of epoxy groups per kilogram).
