ISO 3411:2007 provides the dimensions of operators of earth-moving machinery as defined in ISO 6165 and specifies the minimum normal operating space envelope within the operator enclosures.
Abstract
Overview
EN () specifies anthropometric and the for earth‑moving machinery operator enclosures (cabs, ROPS, FOPS). The standard defines small, medium and large operators (≈5th, 50th and 95th percentiles), sets measurement conventions (seat index point - SIP) and gives interior envelope requirements for both seated and standing postures. Dimensions are derived from international anthropometric datasets (USA CAESAR, European and selected Asian data) and include allowances such as and when required.
