Overview
EN ISO 5199:2002 - Technical specifications for centrifugal pumps - Class II (ISO 5199:2002) is a harmonized European/ISO standard that defines general design, testing and documentation requirements for Class II centrifugal pumps. It covers single‑stage and multi‑stage, horizontal and vertical pumps for general industrial use (typical example: chemical process industries). EN sits between Class I (most stringent) and Class III (least stringent) within the ISO pump classification system and was approved by CEN in March 2002.
