EN ISO 7817-1:2024 - Building Information Modelling (BIM): Level of Information Need - Part 1: Concepts and principles is a CEN-endorsed international standard that defines concepts and principles for specifying the level of information need and information deliveries when using BIM. Approved by CEN in June 2024 and aligned with ISO 7817-1:2024, this document replaces EN 17412-1:2020 and applies across the whole life cycle of built assets - from strategic planning and design to construction, operation, maintenance, refurbishment and end-of-life.
