Abstract
Overview
ISO 9180:1988, "Black leads for wood-cased pencils - Classification and diameters," is an International Standard from ISO/TC 10 (Technical drawings) that defines how black pencil leads (graphite-based) are classified by hardness and what diameters are specified for wood-cased pencils. The standard establishes a uniform set of (from 9H to 6B) and gives minimum lead diameter requirements for groups of grades to support consistent manufacturing, performance and interchangeability.
