BS EN 61287 is a European standard that discusses power converters installed on board rolling stock for railways application. BS EN 61287-1 is the first part of series that outlines terminology, service conditions, general characteristics and test methods of electronic power converters onboard of rolling stock to ensure safety while operating power converters.
