IEC 60335-2-31:2024

Overview

IEC 60335-2-31:2024 (Edition 6.0) is the international safety standard for range hoods and other cooking fume extractors intended for installation above, beside, behind or under household cooking ranges, hobs and similar appliances. It covers electrically supplied appliances rated up to 250 V (including DC) and appliances used with other fuels (e.g., gas). This sixth edition is a technical revision that supersedes the 2012 edition and its amendments, and is to be used together with the latest IEC 60335-1 (general safety requirements).
