Overview

IEC 60335-2-95:2019 - Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 2-95: Particular requirements for drives for vertically moving garage doors for residential use - is an international safety standard that specifies requirements for electric drives that open and close residential garage doors moving in a vertical direction. The standard applies to drives rated up to 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances, and it covers hazards associated with the movement of electrically driven garage doors, including entrapment protection devices. It does not cover the mechanical hazards originating from the door mechanism itself.
