IEC 60350-1:2016

Overview

IEC 60350-1:2016 defines standardized methods for measuring the performance of household electric cooking appliances - specifically ranges, ovens, steam ovens, combi steam ovens and grills. It covers ovens with or without a microwave function and requires manufacturers to declare the appliance’s primary cooking function (microwave or thermal) so energy consumption is measured with the appropriate method. This second edition (2016) replaces the 2011 edition and includes technical updates and the Interpretation Sheet 1 (2021).
