IEC 60704-2-2:2023

Overview

IEC 60704-2-2:2023 - "Household and similar electrical appliances - Test code for the determination of airborne acoustical noise - Part 2-2: Particular requirements for fan heaters" - is the third edition technical revision that defines particular test requirements for electric fan heaters (floor, table, counter or mounted types). It is intended to be used in conjunction with IEC 60704-1:2021 (general requirements) and updates the previous 2009 edition by aligning with the latest Part 1, adding relevant ISO references, and introducing revised built-in conditions plus requirements on climatic conditions and background noise.

This part excludes electric storage room heaters, room humidifiers, room dehumidifiers, air cleaners and heaters designed exclusively for industrial purposes. For rules on declaring and verifying noise emission values in product specifications, see IEC 60704-3:2019.
