IEC 60811-408:2012 - "Electric and optical fibre cables - Test methods for non-metallic materials - Part 408: Miscellaneous tests - Long-term stability test of polyethylene and polypropylene compounds" defines the procedure to determine whether polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) cable compounds will retain acceptable quality over the intended service life of a communication cable.
