Overview - IEC 61010-2-010:2019 (Laboratory equipment for the heating of materials)

IEC 61010-2-010:2019 is the Part 2 standard in the IEC 61010 series that specifies particular safety requirements for electrical equipment where heating of materials is a function. It applies to:

• Electrical test and measurement equipment (e.g., signal generators, laboratory power supplies, transducers),
• Electrical industrial process-control equipment, and
• Electrical laboratory equipment, including in vitro diagnostic (IVD) devices.

This fourth edition (2019) cancels and replaces the 2014 edition and is a group safety publication per IEC Guide 104. It is intended to be used together with the latest edition of IEC 61010-1 (general safety requirements).

• Clause reorganizations and clarifications (including deleted and revised subclauses and clarified requirements in Clause 10.101).
