IEC 61133:2016

Overview

IEC 61133:2016 - "Railway applications - Rolling stock - Testing of rolling stock on completion of construction and before entry into service" - defines general criteria and test regimes to demonstrate by testing that newly constructed complete railway vehicles conform to applicable standards and other normative documents. The standard applies to all railway vehicles except special-purpose machines (for example, track‑laying machines, ballast cleaners and personnel carriers). The extent of application for particular vehicles is determined in the contract and by any legislative requirements.
