Abstract
Overview
IEC 61204-6:2000 is an international standard established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) that specifies requirements for low-voltage power supplies with direct current (d.c.) output. This part of the series focuses on power supplies designed for general-purpose applications, especially those intended for mass production. The standard applies to power supply units converting alternating current (a.c.) to d.c. or d.c. to d.c., with input voltages up to 600 V and output voltages below 200 V d.c., covering power outputs typically up to 2.5 kW, extendable up to 30 kW with appropriate testing methods.
