Overview
IEC 61773:1996 - "Overhead lines - Testing of foundations for structures" is an IEC international standard that defines procedures for laboratory and field testing of foundations used on overhead line structures. This edition (first, Nov 1996) includes the corrigendum of March 1997. The standard covers testing as an interaction between the foundation and the surrounding soil/rock, and is intended to determine load‑carrying capacity and load response (displacement/rotation). Dynamic testing and reduced-scale model testing are excluded from the general scope (reduced-scale tests are allowed only with strict conditions).
