Abstract
Overview
The IEC 63207:2022 standard defines precise measurement methods for blue light characteristics (BLCs) and related of such as TVs, monitors, tablets, and mobile phones, except for displays designed exclusively for outdoor use. Published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), this document addresses the growing concerns over blue light emissions from VDTs - including potential retina injury, disruption of the biological circadian clock, and eye strain - by providing standardized methods to objectively measure blue light and luminance properties.
