Overview
IEC TS 62600-102:2016 provides a standardized methodology for estimating the power performance of a Wave Energy Converter (WEC) at a second (prospective) deployment location using measured power-capture data from a primary deployment. The Technical Specification defines required methods, data conditions and documentation practices so that performance transfer (site-to-site) is traceable, transparent and accompanied by quantified uncertainty. It supports cases where the WEC is scaled or modified for the new site and where measured data are limited, provided that validated numerical or physical models are used.
