Abstract
Overview
ISO 10264:1990 specifies international performance requirements and placement guidelines for key-locked starting systems in earth-moving machinery. Developed by ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC 127, this standard aims to prevent unauthorized starting of equipment by mandating secure and accessible locking mechanisms integrated within the starting controls. While it enhances machine security, the standard does not offer protection against vandalism, theft, or misuse beyond unauthorized activation.
