Overview
ISO 11503:1995 - Paints and varnishes - Determination of resistance to humidity (intermittent condensation) - specifies a standardized laboratory to assess how a single coat or multi-coat paint/varnish system withstands intermittent water condensation. The method exposes coated specimens in an airtight cabinet or chamber to cycles of warm, saturated air that produces condensation followed by a cooler, drier period. The standard is intended for quality control, comparative laboratory checks and routine testing rather than as a definitive predictor of in-service performance.
