ISO 14529-1:1999

Overview

ISO 14529-1:1999 defines a standardized designation system and the basis for specifications for melamine/phenolic powder moulding compounds (MP‑PMCs). It establishes a structured data‑block format to identify MP‑PMCs by their base polymer, filler/reinforcement type and content, intended processing method, special properties and designated property ranges. The standard applies to MP‑PMCs supplied as powder, granules or ground material and is intended for clear, unambiguous material identification - not for declaring performance or processing parameters.
