ISO 14692-4:2017

Overview

ISO 14692-4:2017 - "Petroleum and natural gas industries - Glass-reinforced plastics (GRP) piping - Part 4: Fabrication, installation and operation" provides requirements and recommendations for the fabrication, installation, inspection and maintenance of GRP piping systems used in oil and gas processing and utility service applications. The standard addresses all stages from delivery, handling and storage to system pressure testing, operation, repair and documentation. It is intended to be read in conjunction with ISO 14692‑1.

• Maintenance and repair: Procedures for routine maintenance, cleaning scale/blockages, earthing during service, repair methods (temporary and permanent), replacement and re-certification.
• Inspection & NDE: Reference to non-destructive testing and inspector qualification (ISO 9712) and guidance in Annex F.
