ISO 15241:2012 establishes the presentation of symbols for physical quantities (dimensions, dimensional tolerances, accuracy, load ratings, life, etc.) in the field of rolling bearings. These symbols are primarily intended for use in International Standards and ISO documents relating to rolling bearings, but they are also suitable for use in other printed materials, such as handbooks, illustrations/drawings and pamphlets.

Overview
ISO 15241:2012 - Rolling bearings - Symbols for physical quantities defines a consistent system of symbols and presentation rules for physical quantities used in the rolling bearings field. The standard prescribes how to represent dimensions, dimensional tolerances, running accuracy, load ratings, bearing life and related quantities in International Standards, technical documents, drawings and literature. ISO 15241:2012 is the second edition (revising the 2001 edition) and aligns symbol rules with series recommendations.
