Overview

ISO 22002-4:2025 - Prerequisite programmes on food safety, Part 4: Food packaging manufacturing specifies requirements for establishing, implementing and maintaining prerequisite programmes (PRPs) to control food safety hazards in the manufacture of food and feed packaging. Published in 2025, this first edition is intended to be used together with ISO 22000 and ISO 22002-100. It applies to all organisations involved in food packaging manufacturing, regardless of size or complexity, and allows justified exclusions that do not adversely impact food safety.
