ISO 24454:2008 identifies specific test procedures for the acquisition and presentation of comparable multi-point data for selected properties of rubber compounds. The data for each property are generated, using a single test method, as a function of important variables such as time, temperature and environmental effects. An important application consists in helping different suppliers produce material specification sheets in which the same set of properties is measured using the same conditions. Guidance on the interpretation of results is provided.

ISO 24454:2008 - Rubber - Acquisition and presentation of comparable multi-point data provides standardized procedures for acquiring and presenting multi-point test data for selected properties of rubber compounds. The standard defines how to generate property data as a function of key variables (time, temperature and environmental effects) so results from different suppliers and laboratories are directly comparable. Annex A gives guidance on interpretation of results.

- Stress relaxation: ISO 3384 Method A, measure after 167 h at a minimum of four temperatures.
- Creep: ISO 8013, measure creep increment after 167 h; choose stress to give 20 % initial strain.

- Heat ageing and lifetime estimation (ISO 11346) to derive T(20000) using Arrhenius or WLF processing.
- Resistance to liquids (ISO 1817), accelerated weathering (ISO 4665 - xenon arc), ozone exposure (ISO 1431-1), and fatigue (ISO 6943).
