Specifies the accuracy of measurement of the impact velocity. Describes in the annex some typical methods suitable for the measurement. These methods are intended to facilitate the comparison of data obtained in similar tests by different laboratories. Other methods may be used provided they meet the requirements of 2.1 and 2.2.

Overview
ISO 3784:1976 specifies requirements for the measurement of in road-vehicle collision tests. The standard defines the required measurement accuracy and the timing of the measurement relative to impact, and it describes typical methods in an annex to facilitate comparison of results between laboratories. Other methods may be used provided they meet the core requirements.
