ISO 4254-7:2017

Overview

ISO 4254-7:2017 - Agricultural machinery - Safety - Part 7 specifies safety requirements and verification methods for the design and construction of combine harvesters, forage harvesters, cotton harvesters and sugar cane harvesters. Used together with ISO 4254‑1, it addresses significant hazards related to intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse by the operator. The standard focuses on machine safety features, operator protection, serviceability and the information manufacturers must provide (operator’s manual, markings, warnings). Where ISO 4254‑7 differs from ISO 4254‑1, its provisions take precedence for machines designed to this part.
