ISO 4254-8:2018 - "Agricultural machinery - Safety - Part 8: Solid fertilizer distributors" specifies safety requirements and verification methods for the design and construction of mounted, semi‑mounted, trailed or self‑propelled solid fertilizer distributors used by a single operator. It is a Type‑C standard intended to be used together with ISO 4254‑1 and covers significant hazards specific to solid fertilizer spreading (see Annex A), while excluding some general hazards (e.g. lighting, seating, rollover) and certain machine types (pedestrian/knapsack distributors, combined seed/fertilizer drills).
