ISO 7240-19:2007 - "Fire detection and alarm systems - Part 19" - defines requirements for the design, installation, commissioning and service of sound systems for emergency purposes (s.s.e.p.). The standard covers systems intended to broadcast voice announcements, alert signals (ISO 7731) and evacuation signals (ISO 8201) to protect lives in one or more indoor or outdoor areas during an emergency.
